With lyrics that speak to joy, pain and real-world experience, coupled with her soul-soothing melodies, Memphis CCM singer-songwriter and worship leader Marci Coleman dishes out a delightful mix of soulful pop worship reaching people from every walk of life, whom she hopes will hear themselves in her music and be encouraged that, even in our brokenness, we all have the hope of a Savior. A gifted singer from a very young age, Marci has always carried a passion for music. She began singing in church and eventually picked up the guitar and began writing for herself. The past few years she has been dedicated to pursuing vocal lessons and formal music education as well as performing live and leading worship professionally. Marci graduated from Visible Music College in downtown Memphis in 2014. The following year she was signed to the school’s non-profit label, Madison Line Records. What sets her apart is her authenticity and message on stage, to where you can feel the exact emotion she's portraying through her lyrics and vocals. Drawing from influences like Lauren Daigle, Taylor Swift, Brooke Frasier, Joy Williams, and All Sons and Daughters, her self-titled EP from August 2016 is made up of honest songs that aim to bring people into a place of true worship. She says “I want my music to be real and relatable. I want people to see who ‘Marci’ is as a person.” Ultimately, Marci Coleman hopes that people will find joy and hope through her songs and know that they are not alone in their everyday struggles.
